Currently Careem is offering various transport services in Pakistan, the four categorize for passengers who wish to ride a car are GO, GO+, GO Mini, and Business for cars, however Careem has also launched Rickshaw (Tezz) and Bike services.

Let’s Talk about how you can make some money with Careem, but for this you will need to register with Careem through a Careem Franchise, also known as Careem Opportunity Centres or Careem Registration Centres.

However, before you go, make sure you read about the requirements for registration of Captain and requirements for Careem bike registration, so you are well prepared. And of course, understanding how much you will earn based in the Guarantee Structure.
Requirements for Captain
To become a Careem Captain, you have to meet four(4) requirements; have a valid NADRA CNIC Card, Driving Licence, and Running Paper (Registration Paper) of the Bike
The Driving Licence can also be a Learning Licence, however it must be a computerized Licence.
Physical Condition of Motor Cycle
Before you can register you Bike with Careem, there are two major requirements that should be met. These conditions will be inspected before Careem registers the Bike.
Only Bike Models that are after 2006 can be registered with Careem. Bike Models earlier than 2006 will be rejected during the registration process.
The physical condition of the bike requires it to have working headlight and back light and the bike should have a proper footrest for the passengers. Moreover, Brakes, Clutch, Exhaust and Silencer should be in good working condition. Bikes that are excessively noisy might get rejected during the inspection.
Furthermore, two helmets will be required for the registration of the bike, both the helmets will be checked during the inspection at the Careem Franchise. The helmets can also be purchased from Careem Franchises.
Income and Guarantee Amount
Careem gives the Captains the option to work full time of part time. Captains who are working full time can work between 6 am in the morning to 2 am in the night, however the number of hours the Captain works depends on the Captain. For Part Time Captains, they can either work between 6 am in the morning to 1 pm in the afternoon, or work from 5 pm in the evening till 12 am (midnight).
Depending on if you plan to work full time or part time, you will have to meet different predefined terms and condition to receive the Guarantee Amount from Careem.
Guarantee Amount is the Minimum Amount of money that Careem assures the Captain will be able to earn, if the Captain is not able to earn the Minimum Amount assured by Careem, the difference will be compensated by Careem if the Captain meets specific condition pre-defined by Careem. These conditions include Minimum number of online hours, Acceptance Rate, and Minimum number of Rides.
For Example; the Guarantee Amount is Rs1500/ Day if the Captain meets the requirement of being online at-least 4 hours a day, achieving 80% acceptance rate and Completing 5 Rides. However, the Captain if is only able to earn Rs 1000, Careem will compensate the Captain Rs 500, to reach the Guarantee Amount of Rs 1500. If the earnings of Captain are more than Rs 1500, the Captain is not eligible for Guarantee.
Careem introduced reviewed Guarantee Structure in 2018, which included four (4) packages, depending on the time the Captain will be online, number of rides completed and Acceptance Rate.
- Captains who are willing to work for 11 hours a day, will receive a Guarantee Amount of Rs 2000/ day, if they remain online for 11 hours a day, and are able to complete at-least 16 rides while achieving 80% Acceptance Rate.
- Captains who are willing to work for 9 hours a day, will receive a Guarantee Amount of Rs 1600/ Day, if they remain online for 9 hours a day, and are able to complete at-least 12 rides while achieving 80% Acceptance Rate.
- Captains who are willing to work for 6 hours a day, will receive a Guarantee Amount of Rs 1000/ Day, if they remain online for 6 hours a day, and are able to complete at-least 8 rides while achieving 80% Acceptance Rate.
- Captains who want to work as part time can receive a Guarantee Amount of Rs 400/ Day, if they remain online for at-least 3 hours a day and are able to complete at-least 4 rides while achieving 80% Acceptance Rate.
Monthly Earning of Careem Captains
A Careem Captain will be able to earn a minimum amount of Rs 60,000 (Rs 2000/Day × 30) in a month, if the Captain is able to work for 11 hours a day, meeting the pre-determined conditions by Careem. However, if the Captain gets more rides they can even earn more than Rs 60,000 in a month.
Similarly of a Captain is able to only work for maximum 3 hours a day, the Captain still have potential to earn Rs 400/ day and therefore Rs 12,000 in a month.
